I would appreciate it if you would take the time to read.
Since 2006 there has been a nonstop argument between PS3 saying they're better than Xbox 360, and Xbox 360 saying they will kick PS3's ass, then there is PC who says they are the overall Masterace and intellectual beings. Don't get me wrong I play on PC and I used to play on Xbox 360. I've even picked up a PS3 controller here and there but just because you chose to use a Controller rather than a Mouse doesn't make you any less of a Gamer. We all have access to mostly the same games and enviroments lacking a few details on each System of course because nothing is the same, but is one piece of a leaf missing on consoles that is existent on PC really going to define the way the game is played and enjoyed? Some people argue the fact that "It's better on PC" but in all honesty it depends on what you prefer, each system has their perks. On consoles you have the luxury of chilling on a couch eating some food and playing some games with your friends. On the computer you have to be more attentive because both hands are taken. You see where I am coming from? It doesn't matter whether or not you have thumb-sticks or mouse clicks it depends on what you enjoy.
Graphics. It's like rule of thumb now. We all expect the best out of the engines we play our game on and when one is optimized to a tad lower than the other they are automatically inferior without question. Just think about this, if all the graphics and textures were taken away what do you have? Gameplay. We need to step away from which is superior or inferior and concentrate on having fun. If you believe graphics make the game you aren't a true gamer. Yes they make things look beautiful and stunning but a picture can do that as well.
Controls are another big part of the game debate. Whether your have angled thumb-sticks like the xbox 360 controller, straight forward thumb-sticks like a PS3 controller or DPI on a mouse it doesn't matter how you move or interact because humans can adapt to the new controls quite quickly.
The competitiveness between consoles escalates each year with improving games and community growing evermore. Maybe one day we can step back and realize we are all identical in the game we play.
I hope you have gained some insight on this issues and believe that we can all be Just Gamers.
