i currently have an xbox 360 and i was thinking about getting one of the next generation consoles early next year and i was edging towards the xbox one but a lot of people say the ps4 is better.

I am unsure as of which one i want to buy so can people help me with the positive and negatives of each

Also this is not intended to start a stupid fanboy console war it's just simply finding the good and bad points of each console.
Appreciate all the help

Go for your friends are getting, Go to a friends house who has a PS4/xbox one and play on them both and choose from there.

Im getting the xbox one because i have xbox live account that i had for years and i dont want to abandon it

You are living in the past they took all that away and i recommend you watch some xbox events and xbox has better exclusives imo

You are living in the past they took all that away and i recommend you watch some xbox events and xbox has better exclusives imo
like i said this is all i've heard that is why i want people to help me with some of the positives. as im unsure myself

All of those things you said are not true. (besides the already owned games, and the reason for this is because Xbox One has a new 64 bit architecture that the old games cant support without recreating them. PS4 is the same way.)

ah ok, the owned games thing i meant that you pretty much have to buy brand new games not borrow them from a friend. but i can presume thats not true as well

It was true when it was first announced, but Microsoft removed the whole DRM thing.
