Hello.
I've took a huge break from Xbox and i've just returned.
Everything is working fine, except with my Turtle Beach X31s, I can hear everyone
But nobody can hear me. Even when i mute / unmute the mic it does not make a noise with the speaker icon next to my gamertag in party chat.
I've checked all of the wires, unplugged etc.
But nothing is working.
Any ideas?

try plugging them into a different usb port in your xbox. That is what got mine to work

It may be the controller that has a faulty port where you plug the mic cable in (thats what was wrong with mine)
