guys how do i make a normal server on any version preferably 1.6.2 - 1.7.2 but when i download the 1.7.2 the actual launch program thing doesnt load and when i get 1.6.2 to work my actual ip wont work i have made multiple minecraft servers in the past but it just doesnt seem to work any more i have even tried port forwarding and using hamachi but its not working and i can only connet to the server through my hamachi ip or localhost not my actual ip

I tried to make a server for over a year and never could figure it all the way out. Eventually i just broke down and bought one. HEre is a sight with cheap servers. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

then drag it into a folder on its own and run it.


that is it, for friends to join you will need to Port forward, and give them your IP of course

you can get your IP from here

when i do tht the actual client its self wont load it just stays a white screen?

If it does, that's what it is supposed to look like, the log is in a separate folder now.
just join the server as normal.
