I have the same problem, I was getting cut open so easily so I bought the same team with the same formation and my players don't seem to move, I find it hard to create proper goal scoring chances.

And for the record I'm the best out of my group of mates and have a reasonably good record(2.5:1)

I just cannot seem to get a chance and for that reason I just can't score, I just I cannot break people down for my life, but my defenders get opened up with one LB+Y...

Maybe I just need a new Team

You just need to mix things up, don't be predictable

Eg.

What i find effective is go straight through the middle.. Too many people do over the top balls.. I pass around in the middle (A) & make a lot of (LB+A) passes to get players making the runs, little OneTwos around defenders is great, create the space...

Or

Switch the play from a LB position to RW position with an X pass, bring it down play it back to the RB with a LB+A pass, RW makes a run Y it to him the hit a cross in.. (or pace abuse through on goal :L)

Hope that helps you grab some more chances, the (LB+A)s are the key for me

I wouldn't be surprised if the LB+A was what I'm missing, I used to it all the time, but seem to have stopped it so i'll guess I will start doing it again,

Cheers

Yeah, my record is pretty good as well, I just don't seem to get chances much anymore :/

I'm just gonna try out other formations and try and get one solid team.

No problem.. just be careful, it becomes a habit and you don't want every pass to become an LB+A otherwise your CBs will be going on bombing runs up top and you won't have a defence... (i have this problem)

Workrates are a REALLY big deal this year bro, if your cb's have high attacking workrate they'll be easily defeated with a LB+Y
