the vents on the xbox one will move air very eficently but you might hear minimal noise as fans are pushing air through the ventaltion of the console the ps4 is smaller and has very minimal ventalation which means your gonna hear alot more air trying to push though the ps4 because of its minimal ventalation

The PS3 slim had minimal ventilation and it was very quiet. My fat xbox 360 sounded like a vacuum. But my xbox 360 slim was quiet.

Overall more vents do not mean its is quieter. The PS3 slim had only one vent in the back. While my xbox 360 has multiple vents. I think the PS4 will remain the quieter console this gen too.
