Also some people like how it doesn't change drastically, they do change aspects of the game such as squads, extinction mode, customise you're character, be female now ;) i'm sure theres others, how ever they ain't going to change the way it feels if they changed the engine so it was "different" from the cod now they could screw the whole thing up.

One of the main reasons people play COD is because of how it feels, if they change that it could be taken very badly and ruin the entire series in all so I 100% agree with what you said here.

What can you really change in a military FPS? There is only so much IW or Treyarch can do. Also they can't touch the core gameplay or else it wouldn't be CoD anymore.

I understand, but then if the core gameplay is the same. Why keep buying it? I'm not even going to buy this cod, maybe the next one because I love zombies. If zombies does come with the next game. Really, I'm not really buying any games this year. I bought GTA 5 and I think that's all I need..

Well I never said I was buying it. I will probably rent it to play extinction mode. Also the fact that CoD releases every year is what contributes to it getting stale. If it released every 2 years BO1 would be coming out in a week not Ghosts.

COD4 & WaW were the mature stages of CoD. Once MW2 came, all the kids came. Parents need to grow a set a realize that little kids shouldn't be playing these games.

But couldn't you just say GTA 5 is GTA 4 + GTA SA with updated graphics? thats pretty much what GTA 5 is, there is only so much a game can change. You can even look at battlefield 4 there really isn't much change there too (not saying that's bad) however BF4 is great.


Edit: i've been playing since Cod 4, i've bought every single cod to date and i'm not regretting it one bit. (mw3 was pre bad though)

But they do come out every 2 years... IW gets 2 years to make a game, while 3arc gets 1 year to maintain a game. And flip flop... I heard a rumour though that sledgehammer is going to join the mix and it'll be Sledgehammer next year, then 3arc the next, so 3arc get's 3 years to make a game... and so on if they keep making COD.

What do you suggest that they change about the gameplay? The movement and mobility? They've done that by adding the sliding and leaning. The guns they add new guns every year although they could add more things to the guns to make them feel newer. The killstreaks? They are always adding and updating killstreaks I personally liked it better when you only had 3 killstreaks and didnt have to worry about swarms and such. What else do you suggest they add/remove if they change too much it wont feel like COD anymore and they might start feeling like battlefield and that wouldnt be the worst thing but we already have battle field. What do you suggest?

I honestly can't wait for the new cod so I don't have to play bo2 anymore. IW cods are actually worth playing unlike treyarch's games. Feels like everything just runs smoother and it's actually fun once you're final prestige. If you don't think cods change then you're expecting too much out of cod. If they changed everything to how people would want you would have a completely different game. It's good how it is; just change little things. If you don't like cod you don't have to buy it.
