How much longer do you think Call of Duty is a popular FPS?
With a New consoles coming out it presents the opportunity for new FPS IPs to be released.
How much longer do you think Call of Duty can compete.

Call of Duty will always be a successful franchise because of the fact that people say its not good anymore, yet they all still buy it just because it's "call of duty". It will last even longer if infinity ward or treyarch makes a HUGE change to it that will grab everyone's attention.

My guess is 10 more years at least

Well over 10 years.. it will always be a famous FPS, But sooner or later they will have to change something to keep up with the times. As they are doing with ghosts and the whole peek from cover and slide motions.

I say 5 more years. Eventually a developer will make a game that completely reinvents the FPS genre.

If they can change the game more than what Ghosts did, then I'd say another 8 years. If they don't, 2 years.
