Hi Guys !

i was just wondering i have and old phat RGH xbox and it has a coolrunner chip in it but it have rrod but i was wondering if i take it out of that xbox will i be able to use that same chip on another phat xbox to RGH it with that same chip or not ?

No, because that chip is programmed with the cpu key of the xbox that it is in.

Correct me if I am wrong.

yeah the chip is programmed to work with the console's cpu key.

is there away i can reprogramme it to a new xbox ? without the xbox its in working ?

It is not programmed to the cpu.

it is programmed to the model and if you have a jrprogrammer or nand-x you can just reprogram using jrunner

To OP: Regarding the message you sent. You would need a new chip (I am not for sure if you can just flash it to a new console) but you will also need a nand x to flash the actually xbox.

Yeah you will just need to reprogram the coolrunner
