Hi Guys, (r00t). Well, I tested to see whether my soundcard was the problem with picking up microphone volume, and it was. I put my headset into a laptop and it worked perfectly. The problem is, is that the sound being picked up from the microphone is super quiet. I have turned up the microphone volume to 100 and put the boost on and it still won't work.. I'm not sure whether it's an actual problem with the soundcard or an operator error. If you could please help me troubleshoot somehow? Thanks a lot.

Ensure that your soundcard has the latest drivers and that the driver files are not missing or corrupt.
