This virus encrypts basically all of your files on your computer so that you can't use , or open anything. Your computer is basically broken. The maker demands at least 300 dollars and promises to decrypt your files but you only have 3 days to pay him. So far there is no way of removing this virus. Don't know if this is old news but whatever.

So you're better off paying them instead of buying a new PC?

It's a fake rouge ware that encrypts your HDD, and makes them inaccessible. The program demands that you pay a sufficient fee to life it off, but it isn't necessary to buy a new pc. Simply reformat the hard drive, would be my best guess. But alas, you will encounter data loss from this action as well.

Actually a very smart idea for a virus, but i would hate it if it got on my computer.

The best thing to do would be to make a backup of all of your data just incase you get it you can always wipe everything and restore the backuped data

that's what I got

I restored my computer and it was fixed also I made a help thread when I got this virus a week ago lol

Oh really, do you mind sharing how you got it to help out her people out. I heard a lit of comossion about the virus entering your system through emails.

I just restored it by clicking the windows start button and then go into search bar and search restore and then click on system restore and everything else from there is pretty muched explained

Wow. the other day my school computer had a virus in it matched the picture in the article. I was wondering why on the school computer it said to pay $300 to remove it.
