It's highlighting the wrong section look like 2-3 spaces up and high light this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Once you got that highlighted just "Edit HTML"
That will fix your problem

As for Transparent Backgrounds, I will be editing the post soon and adding a, "Text Tutorial," and if the request are high, a video be up soon.
EDIT: Text Tutorial for Transparent Background is edited and ready. Please let me know if you still encounter problems.
