My school focused on Basketball more than any other sport. In my senior year, we were like the #7 team in state in basketball for single-a (the lowest division in high school sports). Even though we focused on sports a lot, every senior but one graduated with honors, and 2 of us finished in the top 15. Myself, and the Valedictorian. Even though schools do focus on athletics, it's the students responsibility to focus on their grades as well.
