Try actually playing the standard ArmA II also, go online and try to find a Warfare server, they are a lot of run. Also, check out Metro Last Light - Absolutely amazing game( hope your not afraid of spider ;))

Is DayZ actually a lot of fun?

Yes its so fun, you learn though now, dont get attached to your gear haha. At first its hard unless you know how to play Arma but then it gets easier and just becomes overall brilliant specially bcs theres loads of mods for the DayZ Mod, just give it a go

GTA V for the win

It has such amazing lighting

But the textures are actually quite bad.

Right now it is world of tanks, it looked boring before I played it, but it's actually really fun

I haven't really been playing many games on PC lately. I will have to say Garry's Mod by default though.

I personally like Star Wars the Old Republic

Have to say either DayZ or Arma 2 (OA). I tend to play them a LOT. Racked up over 150hrs on Arma 2 OA alone, god knows how many I've done on DayZ. I like to play Battlefield 3 a lot as well though. They're all very fun games, to play with friends or just by yourself.
