what is the best screen recording program for windows 7 i have Camtasia but my computer is not that fast so it takes a long long time to render vids

Personally I use fraps, however thats only to record Cod4, which I use Cod4 Player with initially, then I record the short clip from the demo.

I do this because Fraps videos can be big in file size sometimes, for example I recorded a 4 minute game once and it was 22gb!

I agree with the two above, Fraps is the way to go. Although Fraps is very hardwars dependent, so if you don't have a very good computer you will get low FPS if you record with Fraps. Now as the above person stated, Fraps makes EXTREMELY huge files when recording, although thsy have good quality. You may want to get a viseo compresser/codec software such as "Handbrake" (google it).
