Let's look at this from a different angle shall we... School is there to provide education, right? People want you to get an education so you can get a better job.

Better job = better money, correct? Okay, let's say you have money. Now what? What if you finally have the job you were always looking for and lot's of money, does this nesecsarily mean you're happy? No. Money doesn't make you happy.

You come into this world with nothing... You leave with nothing. You don't "need" school.

If you don't get an education, you most likely will have nothing during your life too. I don't think that's the legacy you want to leave, a failure who owned nothing nor accomplished anything.

Define: 'Accomplised'... Who says you won't accomplish anything without school? To me, accomplish simply means to achieve a personal goal. Whether that be run 20 miles, learn to swim, make friends. Your goal is personal. Other people have no relevence towards it.

You sound like a 6-8th grader complaining about school because it is boring.

Here are reasons why it is important

1. To stimulate your mind
2. For people who want a career that needs education (scientist, doctors etc...)
3. To help you out in the social environment. You may not know this but school helps you with social interacting and teaches you how to behave.
4. Yes some of that geometry stuff etc is bullshit if you want to be an entrepreneur or have a simple job but for the other people they need that.

I'm not saying you have to go to college to be successful but it does help even if you don't want to go I suggest trade school unless you want a low paying job or if you want to be an entrepreneur.

Please take notice as to where i said most likely, and don't worry $36,000 wont take you far. My dad hated school, but he went to college (albeit he did awful) and he got experience needed to start his own mortgage broker company. Now he is a top 2% earner in the us. School has its uses, you will realize later in life.

OP,

you are talking about people that get money from being famous.

Tell me how many people try to be famous?

You still need skills to have a job of an actor or musician.

Have talent, and be different.

And if you are talking about big time successful people like bill gates, you are mistaken

he dropped out, of college (HARVARD) not a **** community college,
the guy is a born gifted genius.

He made money from his skills,
