You get veteran items, or 'veteran status' from playing previous BF titles. Like BFBC, BFBC2, BF3, ect.

Last time I checked, the veteran items where glitched and players were not getting them, even if they were veterans. It may be patched now.

No, they still didn't patch it... It's making me mad. The game is filled with bugs... But I guess there will be bugs...

Yeah on battle log it says I'm a veteran

I did some searching on the battlelog forums, and someone posted this from an EA support member. We'll get our stuff eventually.

Due to a mis-labeling error, Battlefield 3 Players set to receive a Veteran Battlepack for Battlefield 4 upon logging into their game or Battlelog will experience a delay in the delivery of their Battlepacks, but rest assured that appropriate players will still receive their due packs as soon as possible.

Some players may have already received and been able to claim these packs in Battlelog, however players will no longer be able to claim their rewards until this issue has been corrected.
