The xbox one can run games in 1080p

and also Ghosts on the PS4 has been having Framerate drops IIRC...

So whilst some games can't run 1080p at the moment it doesn't mean they won't handle it in the future, The Xbox one has space allocated to make the UI run smooth and once the console has been out for a while Microsoft might allow developers to use more resources and change the allocations idk.

But I'd rather play a game in 720p upscaled to 1080 running at a constant fps than have fps drops.

What concerns me is the 30 fps especially at only 720p.

know what makes me laugh? its the fact phones are now at 4k and next gen consoles are at 720p/30fps. if anything it should be the other way round ,but i quess if you care more about the game play and not so much as the graphics then you would be ok

I have a HD tv, and a HDMi cable so games at 720p look great and I think people get a little to hung up on graphics rather than gameplay and controls.

DlCE wrote This was confirmed back in June. And it's not hardware that is resulting in this, it's the developer they chose this fps and resolution because it felt more like dead rising, others didn't. They'll mention that a lot. But infinity ward even said for ghost they stil haven't got use to the XO hardware. But lack of power is not the issue. Plus the human eye can't tell the difference between the amount of pixels between 1080p and 720p unless magnified 5x. You'll notice slight differences though. But if your consearned buy a PC

If you use a tv larger than about 40 inches you will notice the difference, it's very noticeable. Sure they havnt got used the the xbox one tools, but also they havnt got used to the ps4's tools. The xbox one is a powerful console, but the ps4 is definitely stronger.

Lol if you play on any Tv then you are missing out on a true gaming experience. A Tv you have to deal with bad input lag and terrible response time. Monitor Gaming is the way to go for any kind of gaming. I can see now why you keep arguing about resolution, lol you have fun with barely any difference in resolution and have fun with your bad response time.

As long as you buy a quality tv, not some $1,000 tv meant for a living room, then the input lag is not noticeable just like when playing on a monitor. Some of us enjoy having a screen large enough to enjoy playing across a room not a 32" or smaller.

That's where you are wrong, all Tv's have input lag and most of them are very bad. The only time you will get a Tv that has ok input lag is when you spend $1,000+ on a Gaming Tv. Other than that you are screwed.

Are you just ignoring the fact that upscaling to 1080p will NOT look as good?

Like I said previously you wont notice a difference unless you a watching both at the same time for a while. Also like I said as well, If you downscale your resolution you can upscale a lot of other things. You need to listen and read facts more. Thanks

You definitely will notice it, doesn't even need to be side by side.
