Everytime i confirm the mission it actually sends me into the mission any help would be appriciated thanks

Make sure you're out of the police's vision. Meaning the radar will stop flashing red and blue and your stars will be flashing. Accept the mission as soon as this happens and then keep doing it.
You also want to be sure that there are no police dots near you on the radar. Best place to be is probably in the mountains or in a helicopter if you have one.
