I am going to comment on your point where they recycle the game every year.

Every Cod game does feel the exact same, with new guns and new maps.

The reason why they are releasing a new game every year is not to make us happy, its to make their bank accounts happy.

They could just as easily release a 12 maps, and a bunch of new guns in a map pack for another cod, but they just want to make more money.

I think they should spend a few years in between cod games, and try to make a new experience and really think about the cod franchise and where they can take it, because right now they are just making tons of money from not doing very much.

The game engine hasn't changed since Call of Duty 4.

They make a new campaign and add new maps, maybe change some weapons that's it.

And for some **** reason I still buy the god damn game.

What are you talking about? CoD Ghosts is a whole different engine. Before, Call of Duty was taking from other game's engines, such as Quake and was making that the engine for the games. Also, Mw3 had a different engine that Sledgehammer designed. Keep in mind, that just because the games look similar, doesn't mean they have the same engine.

Just gonna put this here.

They've been using a heavily modded CoD 4/WaW engine which is a heavily modded Quake engine for years now.

Rune wrote 1. Graphics: Listen fellas, you can only compress so many pixels before you can't do it anymore without dropping framerate considerably. Next Gen will have way better graphics, calm down about the graphics looking slightly the same.

Next gen wont be better. I have plenty of people on my Steam friends list that have played it, highest graphic settings 1080p ect ect, and have said that it arguably looks worse then Black Ops 2. The graphics really haven't changed much since Call of Duty 4. The only real noticeable difference is the lighting and even then it looks like they prebaked a lot of it in.

Rune wrote 2. "It's just recycled every year, all they do is add a new campaign, weapons, maps": So by this logic, you want them to make a war, FPS fast paced shooter one game, and the next game be a racing game. It makes no sense, of course you will stick to the same game, Jesus people, WTF do you want from them? A completely and utterly different game every year, so you have to learn how to play it again, every single year?

They really don't add much into the game. I think people mostly call it a rehash because the guns feel the same every year and the maps all feel the same. There's really not much variation going on. Ghosts actually tried to get rid of the 3 lane rule that CoD maps have been using for awhile now but from I have seen the maps look like a mess.

Rune wrote 3. "Battlefield is better than COD": This argument has been in the community of COD since the nano-second the first Bad Company was released. What I fail to understand, is why are people comparing two games to each other? They're nothing alike, and they we're never meant to be compared to each other. That's like comparing Madden to Fifa. Makes no sense whatsoever. I love both Battlefield and Call of Duty. They're both good games, and completely different games. Do not compare them to each other, it's pointless and people will think you we're dropped on your head at birth.

The two giants can definitely be compared now. BattleField has been putting a lot more focus onto infantry battles as of recently. You can easily compare the two on graphics, gunplay, map design, balance, and even customization. Both games are trying to be the top and are trying to appeal to as many people as they can. They're going to end up colliding eventually.

Ok I will tell you all the issues fanboy. First: Cod ghost has the worst campaign I have ever SEEN, The whole point of a campaign is to drag a emotion to a character, in battlefield the squad is tombstone and consist of Irish,Hannah,Dunn(Who passed away),Pac,and yourself. in Cod the only person I can think of is the dumb dog that cod cant shut their buttwhole about. In their multiplayer trailer they stated they had a huge amount of weapons. Theirs only 6 guns in the assault section and most of them are over-powered like the honey-badger and MSBR or whatever its called. The game is on its last peg considering the only people who play it are cod fanboys.

Technically it is "recycled" every year due to the fact they use the same engine on most of the games, they just introduce new maps and guns to me and honestly the maps generally look like crap

Battlefield and COD can be compared, they are both FPS.
COD tends to be fast paced with the smaller maps and perks making you have different advantages to others.

Battlefield you have more room, you can sit back and snipe or run and gun with carbines. They is also the Domination game mode on BF4 which is more like a COD size map and Defuse which is basically SnD.

It just depends what you want to play, but to me Call of Duty is now the same every year and I shall not be purchasing anymore until I am excited for them again. Until then Battlefield takes it

1. The texture and the lighting quality of the game is extremely outdated. They have been using these same things since 2007.

2. It is recycled. Textures, audio, animations, etc. Yes we do want a DIFFERENT game. Not a Call of Duty 4 $60 expansion pack for the 7th time. We want a legitimate sequel. Look at some other major sequels that take many years to make. GTA V, Red Orchestra 2, ARMA 3, Star Craft 2, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, etc.

3. Your an idiot. How can you not compare 2 modern military first person shooters. It is nothing like comparing FIFA to Madden, it is more like comparing NBA Live to NBA 2K. I do not play battlefield much on my PC but you can clearly see which one is better.

Another thing what gets me about Call of Duty is that they charge you $60 every year. In my opinion very few games are worth $60. All the past Call of Dutys have been worth maybe $30 or $40. Hell even Battlefield 4 was not worth $60.

I do enjoy Battlefield over call of duty, but I do like ghosts. It has a different feel to it, almost like they have started to listen to the fans. The only thing is that the weapons are really overpowered which is understandable considering they still need to patch a whole bunch of stuff. But overall I think that Ghosts is actually not a terrible game and is actually quite enjoyable.
