Hey guys. I figured I'd post a few (possibly) helpful multiplayer tips for ghosts. It's 5am right now, so I'm too lazy to make this very organized. I'll just keep it in a bulleted list. Feel free to add on if you want.
Some of these can be used for more than just Ghosts by the way. Some will work for every COD, if not other games.
-Play the campaign beforehand. May sound obvious or too much work, but it will help a lot. The new engine is a bit of a change, so it's always good to get some practice in, with added rewards like achievements.
-In Ghosts, you die extremely fast. Try sprinting less and aiming down sights instead. Like around corners, which after a while will become second nature to ya. Sounds obvious, but it helps a lot. Especially in a game with death rays as guns.
-Find the right gun for the map. Most guns in this game, though, can go for almost every map and do well.
-Ping. Ping is a perk which makes it so every time you get a kill, your radar will show nearby enemies. Helpful when you're reloading, but always seem to get killed by the next guy. A lot of people don't use this, and it is EXTREMELY helpful. Watch out for players with off the rader equipped though.
-Listen to your announcer. (The guy who announces stuff like killstreaks and kills). He sometimes will tell you where an enemy is. (like GUY ON THE 3RD FLOOR or GUY ON PARKING GARAGE, 2ND FLOOR)
-Remember, you have more than one character/player at your disposal.
-Play SQUADS mode for XP and squad points if you have trouble with multiplayer. Also great practice.
-Stay patient. DON'T go in guns a blazin'. Get a kill, wait a couple seconds. Either him or another enemy will probably come through the same spot. Pick them off, then move before they can flank (go around) you.
-Keep a gun with the tracker sight on it just in case you get trapped by campers. Helps a lot to pick them off.
-Instead of reloading, switch to your secondary if you have a pistol. It is usually faster than reloading, perhaps even without sleight of hand.
-If your K/D is low. Watch out for games like Cranked. Though it is helpful, if you dont see too many people than you'll end up killing yourself and tallying up another death, even though you didn't die.
-Remember, press the left analog stick to slide behind cover/out of the line of fire. And you can lean by moving the analog stick left/right against a wall.
-Use your squad points wisely.
-Try your best to use the iron sights. That way you get an attachment slot to go on something better that affects your gun more directly.
-Do operations and field orders to get extra XP during the game.
-If you get killed from the back a lot during the game, try circling the map from the outside and kill inwards. Go around the outer map and pick off enemies towards the center of the map.
-There is NOTHING you can do about the crappy spawns. Just don't rage and keep playing.
-Don't be afraid to leave the game to save yourself. One loss on a win-loss ratio or possible 10+ deaths to few kills? Which is more worth it?
That's all I feel like typing for now. Feel free to add on with more MP tips, and/or extinction tips as well.
