They're on Defcon 3 for Xbox 360, so it means that some people can get on,and some people can't.

So if you can't get online, chances are, you're just part of the group that can't get on.

Dunno anything about a 256 error, though.

Just keep checking back every now and then.

Just went to extinction mode because servers were down, went back to multiplayer and I was good. Someone else try and see if that solves it or I just got lucky.
