Welcome Everyone! Today I am here to introduce you to OUYA, let you know what OUYA is, why you should buy it, how to use it, and the best games to play!
This will be structured as an FAQ mostly, along with a few game reccomendations at the bottom, so let's begin!
1. What is OUYA?
The OUYA is a gaming console made by OUYA Inc. It was made as a console where indie developers can easily release their games to the public for free. All the console's games have a free to try trial before you buy them. The console is also open source, and you are free to hack it and mod it without voiding your warranty! It was initially funded on Kickstarter and officially released on June 25th 2013. It retails for $99 USD.
1.1.2 What are OUYA's technical specifications?
The OUYA runs a custom version of Android 4.1 Jellybean on an overclocked NVidia Tegra 3 (1.7GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU) with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
It supports 720p and 1080p output resolutions via HDMI connection.
It also has a USB 2.0, a Micro-USB, an Ethernet and AC Power port.
The OUYA supports Bluetooth LE 4.0 for controller pairing and Wi-Fi/Ethernet for internet access.
The console is a box of 82x75x75 mm or 3.23x2.95x2.95, the longer dimension is the height.
The controller pairs to the console via Bluetooth, is powered by 2 AA batteries and has many inputs including:
4 O, U, Y, A buttons
A d-pad
2 triggers (L1/R1)
2 bumpers (L2/R2)
1 OUYA menu button
2 analog sticks that can be also clicked as buttons (L3/R3)
A touchpad which serves as a mouse and also can be used to "click"
Up to 4 controllers are supported at once
1.2.4 Where can I purchase an OUYA?
You can pick up an OUYA either from their official website ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) or Target, Gamestop, Best Buy, Sears, and Walmart.
1.6.5 What are the best games on OUYA?
Some of the best and highest quality games are Neon Shadow, Towerfall, Polarity, Clark, and Reaper, among others.
1.7.8.1 Do regular Android apps work on OUYA?
Yes! Just load the APK on a USB or install Play Store and you are ready to go, just be aware that touch screen only apps/games may be rendered unuseable due to lack of a touchscreen.
1.3.4.1 Can I root my OUYA?
Yes! There is a one-click-root solution available over on XDA Forums. It also allows you to install Stock Android, CWM Recovery, etc.
1.2.8.1 Can I emulate retro games on my OUYA? Yes! High quality emulators like PCSXE, RetroArch, and more are available right from the OUYA market for free! Just get your roms and start playing! No hassle neccesarry.
1.3.9.9 How does OUYA function as a media centre? Amazing! On the OUYA store, there are already apps such as XBMC For OUYA, VLC (Ported by me!), Plex, Twitch.tv, Flixter, and others, all with Hardware Acceleration and for free!
Well there we have it! I hope I've done enough to convince you. I will update this guide as time goes on, and of course, don't forget to check out the official OUYA website at [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I must say that while i loved the ouya the prices on some of the games could be pretty expensive. and the only output for sound is digital so you must have and hd tv or monitor to play on. But once you look past that its an amazing system and the console itself is pretty cheap.
