As everyone(hopefully) knows, Microsoft and Sony have a war going on between their new consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Usually, it is known for the companies to bash on the other company's console. We've seen Sony do this many times over the past 5 months.

This morning, the official Xbox twitter did something radical; something unexpected(Plot twist!). Instead of following suit of calling the other console inferior, or making fun of it's policies, they instead tweeted this:

This seriously made my day. I think that this was not only to show class but also to tell the world(and especially Sony) that they are ready to blow people's minds with the launch of Xbox One. I am so excited to see how it turns out! I honestly hope they can live up to and maybe even exceed the hype and put the haters to rest with this new console.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you excited for the launch of Xbox One next Friday?

You can see the full tweet here:

Also, do you think other companies can learn from this? The commercial world would be a better place for all of us if all the companies spent less time poking fun at other companies and rather making their products even better.

This was a bold move from Microsoft, very humbling to know they are congratulating their opposite company.

I feel like there is something more too this 0_o.
What could they be planning.

OP: This is pretty cool of Xbox. I still think it's kind of weird.

This was a pretty cool move for Microsoft to make but I am sure it is more for marketing reasons than anything.

I'm sure there is more to it than what we know.

I agree. I feel like there is something behind this they haven't told everyone yet; perhaps some surprise announcement within the next week? You'd think Xbox wouldn't congratulate their arch enemy.

You are very correct. Maybe they're confident that they will encounter little problems at launch? We can only hope so. I guess only time will tell!
