So what in the world are we going to do when it fills up?
Don't answer with "Delete things". I would like to keep all of the stuff I bought.
Just saying its pretty hard to fill up a 500gb hdd as i play on pc. I have played on it for a year and i have filled like 300gb thats it.
I meant in the long run. This console is bound to go on for a decade.
Yeah as the other guy sad they are going to release one like 1 year or 2 in so we will have enough hard drive space
I'm not so sure about that. Haven't you heard about the new games? Both PS4 and Xbox One require a mandatory install for games. I don't know about PS4 games, but I know most games are in the upwards of 20-40GB each.
Here's the proof: Xbox One: install sizes for all the launch titles inside
This has me a bit concerned, honestly. And quite frankly I'm not sure why these installs are so gigantic. Nevertheless, if you were to get, for example, Call of Duty: Ghosts(39GB), NBA 2K14(43GB) and Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag(20GB), then you already have 20% of your hard drive gone from 3 games. And this is only if you get the disc versions of the game alone, and not even the digital download which concerns me greatly.
Honestly, memory is cheap nowadays; and if these consoles with the power of mid-high range gaming computers, there's no reason to not include larger hard drives(for example 1TB, it's going to happen eventually). I don't see the hurdle of having a larger hard drive with the consoles if these new games and content is going to slurp up our hard drives like a smoothie.
Thats also the digital size bud

You're forgetting that games are bigger than current gen. Especially since there is a required disk install but here's the list as follows:
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - 20GB
Battlefield 4 - 33GB
Call of Duty: Ghosts - 39GB
Dead Rising 3 - 19GB
FIFA 14 - 8GB
Fighter Within - 9.2GB
Forza Motorsport 5 - 31GB
Just Dance 2014 - 22GB
Killer Instinct - 3.4GB
Lococycle - 13GB
Madden NFL 25 - 12GB
NBA 2K14 - 43GB
NBA Live 14 - 9GB
Powerstar Golf - 3.9GB
Ryse: Son of Rome - 34GB
Skylanders: Swap Force - 15GB
Xbox Fitness - 246MB
Zoo Tycoon - 2.6GB
Zumba World Party - 24GB
The main ones that do take up the most space are Ghosts with 39GB, NBA 2k14 with 43GB, and Ryse: Son of Rome with 34GB, these are Day One launch titles and you can see that if you do buy a lot of video games, online or physical copy, your 500GB will go by fast.

Show me where you got that information. The mandatory install doesn't install the entire game. In the article I linked, it points out that " it is unclear if the sizes will be the same for digital and physical." And even this is not he full story. I got the Cod: Ghosts dual-digital license(which was a great deal). The back of the box informed me that the 360 version was up to 10GB(not far off) and the Xbox One version was up to 70GB. This leads me even more to think that the digital install sizes are even greater than the mandatory disc installs.

The xbox one gives people who have xbox live gold unlimited cloud storage so therefore...unless your internet is down, then you wont need another HDD

I don't understand why everyone is worried over only having 500gb. Microsoft already said the Xbox One will have unlimited cloud storage. That is where you can put all the installs, on the Cloud, boom problem solved.

Does hardly anyone in this thread not realize you get unlimited cloud storage? I saw a few posts about it but some people are rambling on about game sizes ect.
If you have XBL Gold then you have unlimited cloud storage, so stop complaining about how big the game sizes are and how fast the HDD is going to fill up.

The thing is ps4 fanboys are saying they can change there Hargrove if needed but Xbox will have 500Gb to store game installs and cloud for game save that means the hard drive cam fit 10 games and then what external hard drives are supported you can add a 1Tb giving you 1.5tb plus unlimited cloud of you did the same on ps4 you only get 1tb no cloud
