both consoles are capable of 4k resolution and ps4 does indeed have voice recognition but if you watch videos the recognition is about as good as a smartphones. XBox also has superior multitasking

Sure microsoft had said it is capable of 4k, but I cant run Ghosts at even 900p, which is by no means a difficult game to run.
I agree the voice recognition is better on the xbox one, but you made it appear that the ps4 had no voice recognition.
did not mean to make it seem that way aboutvthe voice recognition but I have seen videosof the voice recognition in use on ps4 and its nothing to brag about. And if you really care that much about the resolution on cod ghost then by all means get ps4 (if you haven't already) but Xbox offers cloud computing which is making the Xbox the same if not better than some of the ps4 hardware specs. And in my opinion Xbox will keep my interests higher for the future. Sorry to be bias

I don't care about Ghosts in particular, I want all my games to run at the best resolution possible. Also cloud computing can't be used on anything real time, only on ai and lighting due to latency in real world internet speeds. This is no where close to closing the 50% strength advantage the ps4 had over the xbox one.

What multitasking does the PS4 have? The ability to have a party open whilst playing a game? I could do that on my Xbox 360, please.

It is mostly due to Sony making games mandatory 1080p, everyone thinks Nextgen is just 1080p 60FPS.

Microsoft = Allow developers to pick their resolution. (they learned this from the Xbox 360 launch)

Sony = Doing what Microsoft done at the launch of the 360, dictate what developers must do. Sony tells them 1080p minimum, even if the game suffers blurry graphics or FPS drops, it doesn't matter, as you can see in the Battlefield 4 comparison video. If the resolution is 1080p thats all people are look at right now.

If you're wondering why Microsoft made it mandatory for developers to have games at 720p 2xAA, they learned the hard way it's not always possible or consumers suffer.

I feel sorry for the developers that can't hit 1080p on the PS4 since Sony won't be happy.

In my opinion, Microsoft are doing it right, yeah I want larger numbers but I also want a game that looks sexy & has loads of stuff happening all over the place, if 1080p doesn't allow that then I don't want it.

First & foremost games are about fun then visuals then nitpicking about crap we can't see.

The Xbox is a custom built system, with many things that can't be translated into TFlops, on the other hand the PS4 is off the shelf PC parts.

Yes the PS4 has a higher TFlop count, but then again the Xbox One has 15 custom processors for doing stuff that the PS4 has to do all on its CPU/GPU & the on the Xbox One these are free for the system, what that means is its not using GPU/CPU cycles.

In the end both systems are great in there own right & in a few years no one will care. Anyone usaying otherwise is either blind or Microsoft hating.

You do realize those "off the shelf" parts are also in the xbox one? The xbox one and ps4 both use a similar combine CPU and GPU from the same company, the only difference is the ps4 version has 50% more cores. Also the ps4 contains faster ram, and the xbox one dedicates almost 50% of its ram to the os(almost 50%)

Am I right in saying that the DDR5 ram in the ps4 is dedicated to the GPU Itself? Imo I would like a game running at max resolution the console can handle, even 1440p. But cant see that happening any time soon.

There is no 50% strength difference. Microsoft would never let their be that big of a difference. Also latency will go away slowly as people get faster internet. Whenever people are comparing the specs of the PS4 and Xbox one, they always fail to remember that all of Microsoft's parts are custom. Meaning that no one really knows what they're capable of because we're not Microsoft...

The Xbox wins in some things and the PS4 wins in others. They're both amazing systems, it really is a matter of opinion.

If you want facts, here's my last post, incase you're too lazy to go find it, I'll repeat; the Xbox is a custom built system, with many things that can't be translated into TFlops.

Yea, it may have voice recognition but it's not exactly on par with the Kinect; I'm sure there's bugs with it right now just like with Kinect when it first came out on Xbox 360. By the way, not all games run at only 720p. Forza 5 for example runs at a beautiful resolution of, you guessed it, 1080p. One game in particular looks better than 1080p games and it's not even 1080p; Ryze: Son of Rome runs at 900p. I've seen people use that as a point in arguments and honestly it's not true with all games(on top of that, I hope you don't stare at the two side by side on the game with these differences in quality just to spot differences as it would be a huge waste of time). I believe over time(like we've seen in the past generation) developers will learn how to make better games for the console and the 1080p argument won't be valid anymore.

Honestly it only really matters if you like the game itself and how the experience is; if a resolution bar and very, very small difference in detail keeps someone from enjoying a game then I suggest they remember why they bought a gaming device in the first place or just don't bother. They [should have] bought it to play games, not become upset over how many pixels are on their screen or how detailed dirt is.

On a different note, I've not observed the PS4's multitasking but as far as I know, you cant have 2 "apps" running at the same time on the same screen(with the exception of maybe twitch). Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I don't know a lot about ps4. But im pretty sure Sony is smart enough to make there Ps4 not a repeat of other console. Your saying its buff, but comparing the Xbox 360 to Ps4 is like comparing a DvD player to a Blu-ray player.
