Hello TTG, I was going to replace my Disk Drive but I had One Question, Does it matter what kind of Xbox Drive it is (like Toshiba,Phillips, Hitachi, etc) or can I just put in whichever one I get?

It does matter here what type you have, you also have to change the pcb from your old drive to the new one.

What's wrong with the drive? It'll most likely be a lot easier and cheaper to replace anything that's defective in the drive you have now?
But yes, as VANAGON said it does matter which drive you replace it with.

If You Don't Use The Same Model You Would Be At Risk For A Console Ban. You Will Also Need To Transfer Your Drive PCB To The Replacement Or Flash The Replacement With The Correct DVD Key For The Drive To Function.
