Here recently there has been many cases against schools because of the picture sharing mobile app "Snapchat". It's alleged that kids are sending inappropriate pictures and videos using this application. Why it may be true, I don't agree with sueing over it. I feel that it violates a right to personal privacy. Now, if there is valid proof and there can be an actual charge for child pornography or something along the same line, then I might agree.

I'm posting this because we have recently had an assembly and discussed it at my school because there have been a few law suits due to the use of the app in our school system.

What are your thoughts?

The school should not be involved in this. If the kids chose to do these things then they can handle it with the police.

You can say that but whatever you do they will still try to stop you.

Yes, but it mainly focused on proper use of the internet and things along that line. I doubt it was the same school.

Well if teens are sending nude pictures of them selves to people (even their own age) that is illegal and is taken very seriously. You can be charged, it's taken as sending child pornography. But I don't think the schools should be suing.

I didn't think it was the same school, but i found it kind of ironic.

The app and the development team affiliated should not be sued. They created an app that would further our use of mobile communications. The certain actions that students perform with this technology should be regulated by parents or guardians.

Furthermore, this is a complete waste of time, and a joke. This is basically like stating that phone companies should be sued, because they allow students to send inappropriate pictures to each other.
