So basically Apple is accusing Samsung of copying certain features that apple had rights too. Apple originally filed a lawsuit back in 2011...

I hate Apple for doing stuff like this.

Their technology is falling behind compared to other companies so instead of making something new, they just take out the better companies.

I don't see them actually achieving a win in this case because when Apple trademarks a feature it can very very vague and Samsung could play the same game with its features.

Samsung already tried doing this with Apple. Obama vetoed it. I doubt it would pass.

It would hurt the economy.

Apple own most of the patents to put smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and LG out of business, backed by the fact that Job's hated Android with a passion. It's no surprise these battle's occur so often.

Why do they care? Wasn't Apple stealing work from other people back in its early days?

Incorrect.

"Canada-based telecom Nortel went bankrupt in 2009 and sold its biggest asseta portfolio of more than 6,000 patents covering 4G wireless innovations and a range of technologiesat an auction in 2011.

Google bid for the patents, but it didn't get them. Instead, the patents went to a group of competitorsMicrosoft, Apple, RIM, Ericsson, and Sonyoperating under the name "Rockstar Bidco." The companies together bid the shocking sum of $4.5 billion."

Rockstar Bidco owns a lot more patents than Apple. Yes it is part of Apple, but Microsoft, RIM, Ericsson, and Sony own them too.

Also, if I am correct. Nokia has more patents than any other company (especially in the mobile industry). And Samsung comes in second.

That's what I'm saying. HTC, Samsung, and all these other companies are blowing right by Apple. They seriously make the same phone over and over and over again, its planned obsolescence. It looks the same, has the same exact interface as all the other ones. They just add little changes like the finger print scanner to make people think its a whole new phone and they NEED to buy it.

Well Apple barely improves their phones yet they still sue over companies that listen to the consumer.
