Are there any brands of capture cards that can be compared to Elgato, that are cheaper?
Please help me.
Thanks.

Not so much. If you want to record/stream in HD, you're most likely going to have to go with an Elgato or HD PVR.

My Hauppage HD Pvr 2 was cheaper than the Elgato.
It's about the same but you can't use it on Mac sadly.

You guys really know nothing then, at all. The Roxio HD Pro is the very closest to the Elgato. Exact same only lacking the Live Commentary feature at the price of $110.00. I own one. It is really good. It is also USB powered. The HD PVR and Aver Media are upscaled quality. Saying that, they are both terrible.
