I decided to turn off my X1, but it keeps making that noise like if its turned on. Everything else powered down, and the xbox logo doesnt glow on either the controller, kinect, or console. The power brick has the light turned on as white? Any suggestions? Does it always make that noise?

the xbox 360 can do this, its a setting on the console, if the console is on, double press the power button and it will shut off

I think it may be because when you turn it off, it only goes in to standby mode as opposed to completely turned off.

i agree the same setting xbox 360's have, i know my slim 360 came with this setting to default,

stand by mode so you can play right away. go to settings to turn off stand by

I love being able to say xbox on, but too much stress on my xbox so i turned standby off, i don't like my xbox running anymore than it has too especially being new and there might be issues so ill stick to holding down the guide button and not letting my xbox stay half way on for days and days and months and years.
