Hi, I recently bought a new graphics card the r9 280x and when I put it into my computer and start it up everything comes on but I get a vga led light that stays constant on my m5a99x asus motherboard, the cards fans come on but the screen doesnt show and signs that its working, thanks.

You're using a VGA lead with a 280X and a Asus M5A99X board. No no no no no. Use DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort. As the 280X doesn't have a VGA out and probably cutting out the onboard GPU making it not show up.

do you have enough wattage? and are you sure you have it connected to ur graphics card and not ur mobo? if you have it connected to ur motherboard the card obviously isnt gonna output anything
