So unfortunately my xbox one had the faulty disk drive so I could not play any games. When I called the Gamestop I ordered it from, they said they would call in a replacement for TOMORROW. Naturally I was very pleased that I would not have to wait weeks for my console to be replaced/fixed, but then I wondered, Is there really a shortage of consoles. If they can get a day one edition shipped for replacement in one day, just how serious is this shortage. It is possible that there is a reserve just for occasions like this but I kind of doubt that. Im curious to hear what you guys think.

think about it the day one edition is for those who preordered it and they make surplus for those people and they have a surplus of consoles for regular purchases the shortage is describing the demand for the public and the upcoming holiday season
