I wouldn't risk it. Apparently this guy also left his xbox on over night... I don't think you want this

Mine was making a very similar noise to that video for like 1-2 minutes today.....stopped and hasn't started again so I haven't called for a repair yet. If it does it again I will. This thing is supposed to stay on as long as you want for TV! So go for it, I do!

That's a lie.....It says in the desc of the video that he just turned it on for the first time. The xbox one should be able to be on all of the time. So go for it, OP.

I used to do this with my Xbox 360 and I was fine so I would think it would be ok. Do they not have an auto off feature like before?

I had my xbox 360 for 7 years and ran netflix all night every night to go to sleep, and plan to do the same for the xbox one. Last night I left my xbox one on all night too watch netflix and turned it off when I woke up in the morning, and it wasn't even hot. It's built to be "always on". Even when you turn it off it will complete your downloads or installs.

They do in the general settings. It comes default to go into standby mode after 1 hour if inactivity. But you can change it to either 6 hours of inactivity or never turn off
