Hi, my xbox slim has a broke disk drive (It wont read any disks) I also have a console banned slim. Can I swap the disk drives?

you would have to make sure both disc drives are the same as in same model type. If that is not the case, then it wont work if you switch them out. Also there is a lot more then just swapping disc drives you will also need to get the green computer chip (or what ever its called) out of your broken drive and replace into your new drive.

Yeah I'm assuming the green chip contains the DVD Drive info, I'm fairly sure that you need the original drive key? Not sure how you would swap the drive key without RGH'ing.

In order to swap disc drives you would need to re-flash
your key from the old drive to the new one.
You cannot just swap PCB boards and expect it to work.

You could do it, but you'd have to buy an XECUTER X360USBPRO v2 to swap the CPU keys.
It's about 80-100$, so it's not necessarily worth it. I went to a pawn shop and picked up a slim with a controller and all cables for $80. And I got it that day. So...
