I'm currently developing a first person multiplayer shooter. Anyway's I'm looking for ideas for weapons for the game. The game takes place in a modern city, so I need modern weapons to fit it. Before all of you try to jam the M4 down my throat, I've already made one.

I'm looking for less mainstream guns, which is where I get stuck, which is why I'm asking you gun fanatics out there. I need something that isn't completely black or a solid color (like the M4) and something that doesn't have a extreme number of vertices that break my poly count. Don't get to wacky with the colors either as texturing isn't my strong point. Preferably assault rifles as of now, but attachments, snipers, smgs, and side arms also have the green light. Also please link a picture with your suggestion.

Once again, vector is in basically every first person shooter out there.. I'm looking to pull away from that.

A flamethrower that shoots rainbows instead. I don't think there are any games that currently have that.

Make an AK47, Barrett, Desert Eagle, M9, AA-12, SA-80, M249, M40A5, Knife, ACR, RPG, Grenade, Crossbow.

The Thompson is not exactly a modern gun, and every WWII game has one.
