I want to get my younger brother a gaming laptop.

I have a budget of $980-$1000 dollars. (600)

I was originally going to get the Lenovo Ideapad Y400 but I was told not too because they are unreliable.

Does anyone know a Laptop that can perform games well for that budget?

He wants to play BF4, Minecraft, Cod Ghosts and GTA V when it is released.

Minecraft is the main game he plays so hes hoping to get a laptop that can run the game at 350fps+?

Hope you guys can help me :p

That laptop is practically double of my budget (1000$) or (600)

Any laptops around that price?

Yea, there are several good options:

1. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Gaming laptops options under $1000, divided to categories

2. The Y510p is the fastest and has several other advantages as well - 1TB SSHD, very good sound quality. I would go with the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I5 SLI version that now sells for $850 and though you can get the I7 version for $1000, the benefit will be small to non existent in most games. It will run BF4 on very high settings smoothly.

thoughts?

So the Lenovo Y510p seems like the way to go?
