I've tried resyncing my controller, turning it off and on, taking out the power cables ect. None of it works, basically I was sitting talking on Xbox to some friends and it all of a sudden just stopped working and the orange LED to show the mic is muted came on and wont go away. If the controller is switched off as well and I just press the Xbox button it shows the orange LED. Maybe just a faulty controller?

Is this Xbox One or 360 and is it a modded headset from 360 to work on Xbox One?

I had this problem

Turn off Xbox One
Turn on the Xbox
Turn On Controller
Join the Party
Turn on Party Chat
re-connect headset

It worked for me but my friend tried it and it didn't work but it's my solution

Brand new headset that comes with the Xbox One, nothing that could have effect it has happened either, just stopped working.

Tried that way Villain but it still doesnt work. It actually shows the orange LED even if I just press the Xbox button on my controller when the controller is off

I hope its just the headset and not the controller.
