What is Extinction?
Extinction is one of the four main game mode's in Call of Duty: Ghosts. This is a co-op game mode that consists of 4 players battling aliens in a post-apocalyptic world. Players kill aliens to earn money to buy equipment to help there team and them self's survive trough the game and earn skill points to upgrade the equipment they buy. The objective when playing this game mode is to destroy all 14 hives, detonate the nuke, and make it back to the chopper alive.

Getting to know your enemies
There are 6 types of enemies that you will be batting to survive this game mode. I have made a list of the types of aliens you will be battling so that you get a description and picture of the types of aliens.

Types of aliens in extinction:
- Scouts: Scouts are the most common of the aliens in Extinction and are seen the most trough out the map.

- Hunter: Hinters are look very similar to the scouts but aren't the same alien. Hunters are mid-sized aliens that look like Scouts but with a red mouth. Although they look like Scouts they are much more effective than them. Also, they only spawn in the town and cabin part of the map.
[Sorry but i cant find a picture for a Hunter. If i find one i will update the post.]
Scorpion: Scorpions are for legs creatures with round mouths and long, sharp, fang like teeth. There called scorpions because they shot acid out there tails as there attack. They have yellow eyes, yellow sacs on there tails and back witch is where there weak spot is. Shot them in there back and they die very quick. They jump on and walk on the walls of the buildings and also try to take down the chopper at the barrier hives.

Seeker: Seekers are small red aliens they don't bite and or shoot acid at you. They simply run up to your feet and blow them self's up as there attack. They are very fast and when they attack you they take a lot of health away.

- Rhino: The Rhinos attack includes charging at a player and slaming there hands down on a player if they get close enough to you for a moderate period of time. There health is very high and they have thick armor on and there weak spots are there hands and feet.

Relics
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
To be able to access any relics you must first be at least prestige 1. They make the game more difficult but at the same time give you an added score bonus with ranks you up more qickly.

Once you prestige you have the ability to use one relic at a time and every time you prestige you get to use on additional relic. So when you finally hit 5th prestige you are able to use all 5 relics at once.

Here's a list of all the relics and how they effect the way you play Extinction.

Take more damage: Aliens inflict more damage when they hit you.

Pistols only: You are only allowed to use you pistol the entire match.

Smaller wallet: You earn and carry less cash. (You can only carry a maximum of $3000 dollars at a time)

Mortal: No class selection is available.

Do less damage: Inflict less damage against aliens.

Money: How and what you spend it on
Money is what you earn when you kill an alien, finish a round, and other various things.
Most importantly it how you survive.

You use money to buy guns, purchase equipment, team boosters, and many other things so you want to make sure you spend it wisely.

Skill Points
Skill points are what you use to upgrade yous class and load out. They can be obtained by destroying a barrier hive, hive or completing the challenge at each hive other than the barrier hive. You dot get a challenge at barrier hive.

Special Finds
Special finds in Extinction are found by looking around the map and finding a little green box or blue bag. When you find the things you press x button on the controller to search them and you can find special items such as the Hypno Knife, SOLFLAM, ETC.

Maps
There is currently only one map in Extinction called Point of Contact. That is the only map available as of now. The DLC will include new Extinction maps in the future do don't worry about playing on one map the year because there will be DLC maps.
