Okay so I'm on a team that's 3rd in the gold division but I also have an Invite to the number 1 clan in the platinum division.. Which is a better division? Platinum or gold?

It depends. You'll get body count in either division as it states you have to win a clan war in gold division or higher. It's up to you to figure out which clan you like and which one you can get along with. (PS. My clan is also Platinum #1 ;) )
