So I was messing around with my Xbox one controller and I noticed that the end part of the Android charger (the opposite of the usb) looks the same as the top of the Xbox one controller if you plug in the USB into left side of your Xbox one and the other end of the charger into your controller you can use it without batteries so it becomes a wired controller instead of wireless
Hopefully this helps

Makes sense. On the 360 you could plug in a charge kit and plat with no batteries too.

If you buy the charge kit (rechargeable battery and cable) it comes with a mini USB cable to charge it, this is nothing new, these were available weeks before the console even launched.
Doesn't matter what kinda phone you have, it matters if you have enough common sense to recognize a mini USB port when you see one.
