So I was going to buy a pre-built PC and everyone is screaming at me to build my own so this is my pathetic attempt to try and "build" my own LOL my budget is $1,000.00 USD and the grand total so far is at $843.43 I am still missing RAM and a graphics card, please help, swap a few things if needed I really have no idea what I'm doing...

First off I would recommend Windows 7 not 8

Windows 8 is fine for gaming (I take it that is what you'll be doing OP), in some games you get more FPS with windows 8. Whether you need pro or not is down to you although you probably don't need it if you're just building a gaming pc.
