If the KV that is flashed to the RGH side is the same as the retail side then both will be banned. However, if the RGH side has a different KV than the retail side then the retail won't be banned.

If you go online with the RGH side then you will get the KV banned and the console only takes one KV. I'm pretty sure the only way around it is putting an unbanned KV on the root of the HDD before going online

When you first get the dual-nand then it will most likely have the same KV across the two nands. So I would recommend flashing a new KV to the RGH side to be on the safe side.

Here is everything you need to know about having a dual nand rgh and using exbls...
Ok, so due to me seeing a TON of threads on different forums, including this one (not lately on here, but TONS lately on others) about Dual/ triple NAND consoles getting the retail banned because of IP banning or KV banning, Im going to go over a few steps to keep said action from happening.
First, Identify whether you have a Dual NAND or triple NAND console.
Brands that make Dual nand solutions:
Team Xecuter (DemoN)
Cygnos360 (Cygnos Rev.e, Rev. F, ETC)
IIRC Matrix
Knock off companies
Dual PiggyBack (Switched NAND Humping)
Im sure there's more but these are the big ones.
Brands that make Triple Nand Solutions:
Matrix (Trident)
Tripple Piggyback (Switched NAND Humping)
Knock off companies
Im sure theres others but these are the big ones.
How to Avoid a IP Ban (Bans all consoles on network):
An IP badn is where M$ bans EVERY console on your network. Thus, using a STATIC IP or DIFFERENT IP is advised.
1. Use a DIFFERENT IP on the HACKED image(s) than the RETAIL image. (Normal IP's on other retail consoles in household)
2. Use a STATIC IP on the HACKED image(s) and normal IP on retail image. (Normal IP's on other Retail consoles in household)
3. Dont use XBLS (AKA dont take hacked Console online)
How to avoid a RETAIL KV ban:
Now, Im going to go more into depth on this one. When you have a dual/ triple nand console you have a KV for every NAND. If you used the retail image to build all the nands on the console, (like normal) it will use the same KV. If you take your RGH online and get the KV banned, your retail will get banned too, making your dual NAND console useless for the most part. So, To avoid this, follow this Pointer:
1. Put a DIFFERENT KV on the HACKED NAND(s). (Leave the retail KV on the Retail side ONLY or the console WILL NOT BOOT)
Now, Both of these methods should ALWAYS be used together. If you dont, the method you DIDNT use may still happen. Not using seperate KV's from retail will ALWAYS cause a retail NAND ban (if connecting hacked console to XBL)
Another thing to look at here is this. If you have a XENON RGH (Somehow, though its stupid to do so) or a XENON Jtag (which, Could not connect the retail side to LIVE anyway as it would result in the JTAG hack being disabled) then you Dont need to worry about the KV swapping as much. Here is why:
Xenon consoles Do not run the hash checks that zephyr+ consoles do, thus you can swap KV's and they will still boot, even as retails. For this reason, IF we were able to RGH xenon's, They would be the PERFECT candidates for dual NAND RGH without Ban precautions KV side. (Other than their RROD rates anyway) So, If you use the same KV on the retail side as the Hacked side, you could get the hacked NAND banned, (thus resulting in a Retail ban) and swap KV's and still use it like it never got banned, retail side and all. (this will be EXTREMELY useful when UberGeek releases his new hack, provided its Xenon compatible)
EX; Many KV sellers use Xenons that are reverse Jtagged to test KV's before they sell them.
Reverse JTAG means they Jtagged the console, got the CPU key, de jtagged it, and now they can swap KV's at will because they have the CPU key.
So, Please, Take this into account before you come on here asking what you can do. This lists the possible ways to prevent the mistakes that a lot of people have made. I feel this thread is needed at this point, especially with XBLS growing and nobody realizing what they are doing when they do this.

You are able to go online on the RGH side if you buy online time, however you risk the chance of banning the retail side as well.
