So, I have some money to spend on a 'new' PC.

What I currently have that I will transfer over into this build:

  • ASUS HD 7770 2GB @ 1050Mhz
  • 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
  • 2TB HDD
  • 1TB HDD
  • TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C (optical drive)
  • Accessories (Keyboard, mouse, 2 monitors)

So, I am looking for a:

  • CPU (Intel K series if possible?)
  • PSU
  • Motherboard (Would like it have 3-4 slots for GPU's)
  • SSD (Not required, but would be nice)
  • Case (needs to have quite a few slots for HDDs as I work a lot with video, also space for 1-3 GPU's as I am thinking of crossfireing in the future)
  • Heat Sync (Only needed if overclocking, so the K series)

I have a budget of 450 pounds for all of that stuff.

I made a build myself, however I feel that it could be greatly improved.

I picked the case as it has a lot of storage trays for HDD/SSD storage as I work with a lot with video.

I also went with the PSU as I am going to start getting paid around April and I want to be getting an upgraded GPU or crossfire my 7770 with another card in the 7700 series (I think that's how it works), so more wattage would be needed.

Any recommendations to the build I have listed would be greatly approved.

Housekeeping:

Budget: 450GBP
Do you need a monitor? No
Do you need a keyboard? No
Do you need a mouse? No
Do you need an operating system? No
What will you use the PC for? Gaming (CoD, MC), making music (FL Studio), Image editing/making (Cinema 4D, Photoshop), video editing (AE, Sony Vegas).

Dooood, no!

90GBP for a case that isn't a Define R4 is a waste.

Leave the SSD out if the price is to high.

I left out the PSU as your current one should be enough to take the Intel OC.What unit is it?

I don't know. I, foolishly, bought this computer premade. I am currently running with 450w PSU, so it most likely isn't going to last much longer, my card has had a few crashes so that might signal that the PSU cannot output the whole 450w on the label with consistency. Very unreliable. Also, with the fact that I will be wanting to either upgrade my GPU or crossfire it with another card in the 7700 series I think i wan't to go with a fairly beefy PSU from the start.

Swap the SSD for this then, it will be more than capable of running 7770's in Crossfire.
