I would always recommend rooting a Android that is relatively newer on the market. Lots of features and you can get new updates of Jelly bean with the right custom ROM. If you need help with how to do it please post in this topic Forums/t=5884870/everything-you-n...cking.html

There's really no reason not to root. I'd suggest doing it and using Xposed Framework if you don't want to flash a ROM.

I rooted my note 2 just for full use of Orbot. Gotta love the deepweb

Yes, it is very nice to have. I have mine rooted. Except with most roms there is no reception for me, not sure why.

That's due to a bad ROM, not root, besides, most custom ROMs are rooted anyways.
