Yes, American netflix from what I understand has a way bigger selection in shows and movies than UK and Canada.

I think it is because the US has more netflix subscribers, and with that money can afford to buy more titles to be shows for US subscribers.


It is not a matter of finance, the UK gets a lesser selection as TV broadcaster SKY own the UK rights to shows like The Walking Dead and their service SKY MOVIES has the rights to many, many, many of the new movie releases. Therefore in the UK Netflix cannot supply the members of it's service with the shows/movies SKY have the rights for in the UK.
