So, i got windows 8 laptop a few weeks ago. when im at my dads my connection keeps trying to connect to other networks and my dads when i UN tick the (auto connect to this network) it just auto ticks it and it keeps disconnected me from my dads internet.

When you untick it is there a save buttong anywhere?
also have you tried disconnecting the internet first?
click on the connection at the bottom bar on the desktop and see if you can disconnect from the one its trying to auto connect to (press the connection and disconnect or try and right click) if this doesn't work then all i can suggest is plug an ethernet cable into the laptop!
