This will not work for me i cant use my Laptop as a router this is what happens to me

Im using an ethernet cable from xbox to laptop then using WIFI from my router to connect but still not working

try hosting a invite only session.

Hm... Alright, well after starting up the game, going to single player and then turning off the firewall, it says that I have to make a temporary character because Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable.

I followed every single instruction and went back and checked it and nothing was wrong but it still does nothing for me. I'm in my own invite only session too.

Did you connect your 360 to your computer? That was my problem lol I forgot to do that.

Another problem, now. I used to be able to connect to live with firewall on, but now every time I try, it just says disconnected from Xbox Live and won't let me connect.

I've gotten everything working and when I go onto GTA online, it says the following:

"The Rockstar game services has failed to sync files to play GTA online. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V and try again later."

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you disable the firewall?
