Buxtyy wrote If you want to save some money, the you might consider the Z87-G45 Gaming, as its cheaper and the only reason you'd get the GD65 would be for potentially better overclocks.

Oh, thank you! I'll definitly look into that!

Buxtyy wrote It looks like the manufacturers list 1600Mhz being the highest speed memory without overclocking but it wouldn't stop you manually setting the speed in the BIOS should you wish.

Then again!
The MSI supports 64GB of RAM, while the Gigabyte only supports 32GB, probably never gonna go that high anyway, but better to be on the safe side, right?

You can't install more than 32 GB because there are four slots with a max of 8 GB per slot.

High-end boards for 1150 CPUs are very questionable because even budget boards can take the CPUs to their limits and have all the features you could ever need. There's not many PCIe lanes, so if you plan to use more than two graphics cards, you'd want a board with a PLX chip. There are very few reasons to buy even moderately high-end boards like the ones you posted and if you can cancel your order, you can get the same results from something like a Z87-G45 or comparable board and save some money.
