( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) also the space have billions of galaxys and moons and sons and life and it unreal. I had just taken in the more science part. Thats what made the most sense to me and its peoples right to think and believe what they want. I do not believe that god is real through the facts of the bible and the facts that have been put in front of me.

It actually doesn't say anywhere in the bible that Earth is 3000 years old. It doesn't say how old Earth is at all.

Also I would like to point out something that a lot of people debate about. When it says that God created Earth and the universe in 6 days it does not necessarily mean actual 24 hour days like we know. Since God didn't create the sun until the 4th day it wouldn't makes since to say that all of the days were 24 hours long. Also I'd like to point out that in 2 Peter 3:8 it says "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." This tells us that time is obviously irrelevant with God. So really each of those 6 days could have been millions of years old. That could all make since with how long it would take to form Earth and could explain why dinosaurs and other animals were much older than humans.

I am a Christian by the way and to other Christians (who this would apply to) I say science is not wrong. I think that most of it is somewhat right with how old everything is. Those 6 days God took to create Earth and the universe could actually be millions of years old. Just a thought.

This is exactly what my science teacher said in 8th grade!!
and I honestly don't see why atheists believe in what they believe. They don't believe in any possible way of salvation through a more powerful being. I'd rather take my chance with Christianity and say there is a God rather than be an atheist and if and when God does come to take us into heaven, I won't be one of the ones taken to hell with Satan. with christianity at least you have hope that you will be saved. but with atheists, theyre doomed whether or not God is real. Either way they get the bad side but if youre a christian, if God is real (which i believe he is) then you will be taken into heaven. I'm not trying to offend anyone in any way, shape, or form. just stating my opinion as others have.

That's called Pascal's wager, God would know that we were only saying we were Christian because we were afraid, and not because we truly believed in him.
I suggest you either take your belief in God more seriously, or accept that no matter what happens, a loving God would not send people to burn for eternity simply because they didn't believe he existed.

I do take my belief in God serious. I believed in him and trusted him ever since I came up from the bad part of my life and started to ask for help. Then God came along and forgave me of everything. But I'm just explaining why I don't see why Atheists believe there is no more powerful being than us. And I also believe a loving God could send people to hell for not believing in Him. I believe he will try to save them at the end but if they again choose not to believe in Him, he will have no other choice but to let Satan take them to the gates of hell.

And honestly if any god wanted me to beilive in him, he would prove his existence himself rather then leave me with books, and the faith to believe what im told from people. Also if there was an actual god and he did send people to hell for simply not believing in him, I would never worship that god as he would be a very cruel god.

God wants you to believe in him by not seeing, but by faith. It's just like saying "I've never seen a million dollars before, so it must not be real." Just because you don't see something doesn't mean it's there. Another example would be atoms. You can't see atoms without technology, just like you can't see the works of God without believing it's Him. You probably see works of God every day in your life, but you don't actually SEE them because you're blinded by the fact that you think their isn't a God in this world. And God doesn't send people to hell just because they don't believe in him. Its not as simple as that. God keeps opening up to non-believers but they reject him. When the world comes to an end (nobody except Gos knows when that will happen) then people will actually begin to see that there is God. And I believe he will give them a second chance but I know without a doubt that there will be people who will still not believe in God even though he will be standing there in front of them. That's how humans accept things. Humans have a tendency to only believe in stuff that can be proven by their natural senses. They don't believe in other "forces" that are acting around them everyday by the work of God because they simply can not detect them with they're natural senses. Most of the time non believers would see a cancer patient survive and say "you're lucky." I would say that's a miracle from God because he has a great plan for that person.

The picture is describing how futile Religion is because there are so many Religions, all of which claim to be the correct one.
Someone could completely re-do your speech but replace 'God' with Krishna, or Allah, or the flying spaghetti monster.
Also, God will, according to the Bible, send non-believers to Hell.
It's ironic that God gave us 'Logic' which actually translates to 'Logos' - 'The Word of God' in Greek - which is why we deny 'miracles' and see 'tests of faith' as simply life events that we have to overcome on our own.

Klaw wrote You know, I'm not trying to offend anyone, but yes. I am a Christian. I believe in everything that's in the bible.

At Jesus' crucifixion, the Roman were experts at everything, especially this. They recorded everything and everyone that was crucified, and they have in fact found the thing they wrote in and there was a man named Jesus' in there.

There also have been many many men try to state how God isn't real, but no one has yet to come up with how he's isn't real.

Just think about our bodies for a second, cells, how they replicate, transfer, go through cycles and all that biology stuff. It just didn't happen by 'nature'. That's where God comes in.

They have found things in the bible to be true. So I do believe it. But again I'm not trying to offend anyone by this. I could go on and on about this. But I won't.

I do believe in God and everything in the bible. :satisfied:
There also hasn't been any man to prove that God is real.. I mean think about this whole universe. It's hard to grasp your mind around it. I don't want to believe in "God" or "Heaven and Hell" until I have full proof that it's real.

I mean no offence to anybody who reads this !.
But..
To all those who blindly believe in the words of the bible ,I have a question..

Do you believe that your god is kind and loving ?..,Because if you do could you please explain these parts of the bible to me ..

1. God drowns the whole earth.
In Genesis 7:21-23, God drowns the entire population of the earth: men, women, children, fetuses, and perhaps unicorns. Only a single family survives. In Matthew 24:37-42, gentle Jesus approves of this genocide and plans to repeat it when he returns.

2. God kills half a million people.
In 2 Chronicles 13:15-18, God helps the men of Judah kill 500,000 of their fellow Israelites.

3. God slaughters all Egyptian firstborn.
In Exodus 12:29, God the baby-killer slaughters all Egyptian firstborn children and cattle because their king was stubborn.

4. God kills 14,000 people for complaining that God keeps killing them.
In Numbers 16:41-49, the Israelites complain that God is killing too many of them. So, God sends a plague that kills 14,000 more of them.

5. Genocide after genocide after genocide.
In Joshua 6:20-21, God helps the Israelites destroy Jericho, killing men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys. In Deuteronomy 2:32-35, God has the Israelites kill everyone in Heshbon, including children. In Deuteronomy 3:3-7, God has the Israelites do the same to the people of Bashan. In Numbers 31:7-18, the Israelites kill all the Midianites except for the virgins, whom they take as spoils of war. In 1 Samuel 15:1-9, God tells the Israelites to kill all the Amalekites men, women, children, infants, and their cattle for something the Amalekites ancestors had done 400 years earlier.

6. God kills 50,000 people for curiosity.
In 1 Samuel 6:19, God kills 50,000 men for peeking into the ark of the covenant. (Newer cosmetic translations count only 70 deaths, but their text notes admit that the best and earliest manuscripts put the number at 50,070.)

7. 3,000 Israelites killed for inventing a god.
In Exodus 32, Moses has climbed Mount Sinai to get the Ten Commandments. The Israelites are bored, so they invent a golden calf god. Moses comes back and God commands him: Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor. About 3,000 people died.

8. The Amorites destroyed by sword and by Gods rocks.
In Joshua 10:10-11, God helps the Israelites slaughter the Amorites by sword, then finishes them off with rocks from the sky.

9. God burns two cities to death.
In Genesis 19:24, God kills everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah with fire from the sky. Then God kills Lots wife for looking back at her burning home.

10. God has 42 children mauled by bears.
In 2 Kings 2:23-24, some kids tease the prophet Elisha, and God sends bears to dismember them. (Newer cosmetic translations say the bears maul the children, but the original Hebrew, baqa, means to tear apart.)

11. A tribe slaughtered and their virgins raped for not showing up at roll call.
In Judges 21:1-23, a tribe of Israelites misses roll call, so the other Israelites kill them all except for the virgins, which they take for themselves. Still not happy, they hide in vineyards and pounce on dancing women from Shiloh to take them for themselves.

12. 3,000 crushed to death.
In Judges 16:27-30, God gives Samson strength to bring down a building to crush 3,000 members of a rival tribe.

13. A concubine raped and dismembered.
In Judges 19:22-29, a mob demands to rape a godly masters guest. The master offers his daughter and a concubine to them instead. They take the concubine and gang-rape her all night. The master finds her on his doorstep in the morning, cuts her into 12 pieces, and ships the pieces around the country.

14. Child sacrifice.
In Judges 11:30-39, Jephthah burns his daughter alive as a sacrificial offering for Gods favor in killing the Ammonites.
